Don tasks Nigerians on love

The Vice Chancellor of Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State, Professor Peter G.Hugbo, has tasked Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of love and charity as a way of moving the country forward.
Prof. Hugbo gave the admonition yesterday, at the university auditorium in Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Council, during a Classical Concert, which the University Choir featured.
He told Nigerians that Jesus Christ, the son of God, for whose birth memorial the Christmas festival is annually observed, was the embodiment of love and charity, adding that the people who believe in him and observe the Christmas festival must, as a mark of honour to him, show love and charity to their fellow neighbours.
Speaking further on the value of education, Professor Hugbo, enjoined Nigerian youths to be very serious in their studies, as the only way to shapen their future to become successful people.
He said WDU was the only University in Nigeria with one hundred percent recognition by the National Universities Commission, NUC , urging students to take advantage of the on-going admission into the pre-degree courses of the institution to get university education.
The classical concert which held in the institution yesterday was directed by Associate Professor Om’te Diachavbe, an economist at the Delta State University, Abraka.
It featured 18 classical musics, which included, Early Down by Smallwood, On the Banks by T.J.Hewitt, Chassing Rainbows by Joseph McCarthy and WDU Anthem.
